What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

I've always been fascinated by the human body and loved learning how it works, but working with children has been my true passion for as long as I can remember. I spent much of my early life volunteering with kids and before going to medical school I already knew I wanted to be a pediatrician. Pediatrics felt like a natural fit - combining constant learning with the joy, honesty and resilience of children. What continues to inspire me is their strength and ability to bounce back; being able to watch children return to health so quickly and thrive again brings me immense joy and reminds me every day why I chose this field.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

As both a pediatrician and a mother, I bring a unique perspective to caring for children and their families. Becoming a parent has deepened my empathy and allows me to truly understand the concerns parents bring into the exam room. I prioritize listening carefully, addressing each family's biggest worries and having open, collaborative conversations so parents feel confident and comfortable with their child's care plan before leaving. I believe reassurance and education are essential parts of pediatrics - not every visit requires a prescription, but every visit should leave families feeling heard, informed and supported. I welcome all questions and strive to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to every family I serve.
