I love Ferdinand. It is a sweet and timeless story about remaining true to yourself. The pictures are wonderful. I also love the Hairy Maclary series. The rhyme scheme is wonderful for young children AND it's funny!

I loved Fashion Plates, LEGOs, and any musical instruments on which I could get my hands.

I am inspired by my mother who treats everyone with kindness and respect. She always tries to understand a person's history in order to understand their present.

I enjoy spending time with my kids, going to concerts, musicals, and plays. I enjoy hiking, reading, and traveling. I also love good food, so going to a nice restaurant is always a treat.

My brother is a childhood cancer survivor. Watching the people around him was my initial inspiration. I have always worked with children in some capacity, from babysitting to counseling to teaching to pediatrics. I love kids. They are the best!

I really enjoy patient education. I love providing asthma education, talking about growth and development, and discussing puberty and other milestones. It is a great privilege to be invited to take the journey from infancy to adulthood with patients and their families.

I have taken care of many children with special needs and am familiar with the coordination of care from community services, to insurance coverage, to specialty referrals and evaluations.
