Q&A with Dr. Dalwadi
What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite cartoon is Scooby-Doo because of the mix of mystery, humor, and teamwork.
What is your favorite children's book?
My favorite children's book series is " Curious George" because George's curiosity leads to comical trial and error adventures that help him learn and grow.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toy was Lite-Brite. I loved placing the colorful pegs into the board, and the excitement of seeing the design light up after all the effort made it truly magical.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My parents are my greatest inspirations because they instilled in me the importance of education, hard work and diligence-values that have shaped not only my character but also guided me in my day-to-day life and throughout my career.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places with my family.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
Being a pediatrician is extremely rewarding as it allows me to form a personal bond with a diverse group of patients. I love being able to help others, and knowing that what I do has a positive impact on so many lives. I especially enjoy seeing children grow and develop into confident, healthy adults.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
What sets me apart is the deep, long-term connection I've built with patients over more than 20 years in the same practice. That consistency has allowed me to truly know my patients. I've developed strong listening skills and work to create a calm, reassuring environment where people can feel heard and cared for. On top of that, being a parent has given me additional insight into empathy, patience, and the ability to navigate complex emotional dynamics, which enhances my ability to support both patients and their families.
