Welcome to the Kingston office of CMG.

Our doctors care for children from Kingston to Woodstock, from Saugerties to Hurley and many other communities in Ulster County. We provide a small office environment where you get to know your doctors, while having all of the resources of a large pediatric practice. We focus on all aspects of health care for children, from infants through 21 years of age. We would love to be part of your family; come and be part of ours.

Christine A. Lee, MD

Joining our terrific team in the Kingston office of The Children’s Medical Group is a wonderful physician, Dr. Christine Lee. Born and raised in Michigan, Christine comes to us in the Hudson Valley after earning her undergraduate and medical degrees at Northwestern University in Chicago, and residency in the Bronx, NY.

Caitlin Smart, CPNP is interested in helping kids and adolescents with lifestyle management including weight management, reproductive concerns, and mental health. Caitlin is a Hudson Valley native, growing up in Wappingers Falls and staying in NY State for undergrad and graduate school. She earned two BA degrees – one in neuroscience from Vassar College and one in nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing. Her focus is always on preventing illness by optimizing health.

Dr. Vandana (Wendy) Bacon is one of our newest pediatricians, joining CMG last year – and as the mother of an 8-month-old boy, she knows how quickly children grow. She is acutely aware of the changes they experience, which is one of the reasons she feels right at home at The Children’s Medical Group.

Since 2021, Dr. Marcella Spera has been an essential addition to Children’s Medical Group. Dr. Spera completed her undergraduate degree at Sarah Lawrence College, before attending medical school at Penn State. She then completed her residency at the University of New Mexico, and is board certified in Pediatrics. As a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, her dedication to medicine is evident.

Ajit Monteiro, M.D.

Dr. Ajit Monteiro is a board-certified pediatrician who joined the Children’s Medical Group in October 2024. He earned his medical degree from Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s Medical College in Aurangabad, India, and completed his residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. During his residency, Dr. Monteiro distinguished himself with the Residency Leadership Award and served on the Resident Council for three years, culminating in his role as Chair of Quality Improvement.

Dr. Leigh Ettinger, a distinguished pediatrician, became an integral part of Children’s Medical Group in January 2024. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the Children’s Medical Group. He is Board-certified in pediatrics, pediatric nephrology, and obesity medicine. His commitment to excellence is underscored by his continuous recognition as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, a peer-nominated accolade he has received yearly since 2014.
