One of our newest physicians, Dr. Robert Felix joined The Children’s Medical Group in December, 2012. He earned his undergraduate degree at Emory University, attended the Medical University of South Carolina and did his residency at NYU/Bellevue Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Felix was raised in a small country town, Deerfield, NH, which may have inspired in him an urge to travel. He was a teacher in Botswana for the US Peace Corps, and often visits Quebec and Latin America. Yet, he says his favorite cuisine is Italian.
The pediatric areas that interest Dr. Felix the most are childhood asthma, allergies, dermatology and taking care of newborns. His favorite outside-the-office activities include hiking, running and cooking. With all that exercise, we imagine he works up quite an appetite! Dr. Felix says, “My next goal is to get a dog – be a great hiking partner!”
