Jaime Rivera, MD
Gardener, golfer, hiker, sailor (…tinker, tailor, soldier, spy?), husband, and father of four daughters, Dr. Jaime Rivera lives life to the fullest. We wonder where he gets the energy and time to accomplish everything he has done. Joining The Children’s Medical Group in July of 2012, Dr. Rivera brought with him his vast professional experience as well as his unique warmth and sense of humor.
From his undergraduate degree with honors from The City College of New York, to Harvard Medical School, to his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Rivera has kept professional excellence and serving his patients “beyond the call” as his top priorities. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, has held a Fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association and the National Hispanic Medical Association.
His main areas of medical interest include asthma and allergy, gastrointestinal and liver diseases, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD). He notes, “The Children’s Medical Group offers an unsurpassed opportunity and setting for a pediatrician like me. The diversity of the patients we care for, the outstanding training and experience of our staff, and the commitment to quality and access of all who work here, make this a fun and exciting place to care for children.”
Dr. Rivera’s interests beyond healthcare include K-8 dual language immersion, public education policy and practice, the Yankees, Giants, Red Sox, and of course, golfers Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker. When he actually does get away you may find him in Florence or the Tuscan Hills.
