Dr. Christine N. Verna has been a board certified pediatrician since 2000. With her background in child behavior, Dr. Verna takes particular notice when a patient may be having problems in school. She is skilled at eliciting information from her young patients that aid in pointing toward such problems as dyslexia, A.D.D. or learning disabilities. She finds it particularly gratifying to be able to advocate for children with school and education-related issues. Always on the lookout for factors that can affect school performance, Dr. Verna is proficient at managing chronic illnesses, such as asthma and diabetes, that can lead to lost days of school and sports.
A lifelong New Yorker who grew up in Scarsdale, she lives with her husband, her two school-aged daughters and a rescue cat. She enjoys running, hiking, bicycling, traveling, and cooking Italian food for her family.
