![]() | Dr. Fe Aplasca has been practicing Pediatrics since 1982, and has been with The Children's Medical Group since 2000. She completed her training in General Pediatrics at Mt. Sinai Hospital Services-Elmhurst Hospital in New York City. While in training Dr. Aplasca served as Chief Resident for one year, and did a fellowship in Ambulatory Pediatrics at the same hospital. Dr. Aplasca is board certified in Pediatrics, is married with 3 children, and enjoys, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. |
Dominique Aristide, M.D.
| Dr. Aristide joined the Children's Medical Group in October, 2002. She was born and raised in Haiti, immigrated and completed high school in the United States. She attended Pace University, Pleasantville , N.Y., where she earned a BS in Biochemistry. She received her medical degree from SUNY at Stonybrook, School of Medicine in 1995. Dr. Aristide completed her pediatric residency training in 1998 at Westchester County Medical Center. Dr. Aristide is fluent in French. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is married and is the mother of three girls. Dr. Aristide enjoys gardening, Broadway musicals and reading. |
Daniel Z. Aronzon, M.D.
![]() | Dr. Aronzon came to Poughkeepsie in 1979. He recently served as President of the Vassar Brothers Hospital Medical Staff. He was a graduate of New York Medical College and completed his Pediatric Residency at Albert Einstein. Previously, he was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the New York University School of Medicine and Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at Bellevue Hospital. Dr. Aronzon has served as Director of Pediatrics at St. Francis, Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Vassar and President of the Mid Hudson Pediatric Society. He is board certified in Pediatrics, an instructor in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a past board member of Rehabilitation Programs Incorporated, where he founded the Infant Screening Program to facilitate services for high risk infants. He is also a member of the Poughkeepsie Rotary Club, where he was county coordinator for Rotary International’s Shots for Tots Program and a member of the Board of Counselors at the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie. Dr. Fenner, along with Dr.'s Blum, Aronzon and Schaffer, were named as Physicians of the year by Vassar Brothers Hospital in 1995. It was the first time a group was honored this way. His interests include Pediatric Emergency Medicine and childhood respiratory diseases such as reactive airway disease and asthma. In 2001, Dr. Aronzon took the position of Vice President for Medical Affairs at Vassar Brothers Hospital. He continues to care for children at The Children's Medical Group on a part-time basis. |
Maria E.D. Bernardez, M.D.
| Dr. Maria Bernardez has practiced since 2006 in the state of Connecticut. She Joined the Children's Medical Group in February 2008. She received her degree from the Philippines. She completed her Pediatric Residency training at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY. Dr. Bernardez is Board Certified, and is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Advanced Life Support. She speaks Tagalry and Medical Spanish. Dr. Bernardez enjoys reading, watching movies and traveling. She resides in Beacon, NY with her husband. |
Aaron M. Blum, M.D.
| Dr Blum has practiced pediatrics in Dutchess County since 1973. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and specialty training in Pediatrics at The New York Hospital Cornell University Medical Center. His subspecialty interests include Pediatric Endocrinology (glandular and growth disorders) as well as the care of children with chronic disease such as diabetes. Dr. Blum has been involved in active research studies related to Diabetes in children, the prevention of Type II Diabetes and obesity in adolescents and children. Dr. Blum has served as Director of Pediatrics at both Vassar Brothers and St. Francis Hospitals, is the founding Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Vassar Brothers Hospital and President of the Mid Hudson Pediatric Society. He is a past board member of The Rabbi Erwin Zimet Hebrew Day School and prior member of Vassar’s Peer Review Committee, a panel of senior attending physicians, that oversee physician behavior at the hospital. Dr. Blum, along with Dr.'s Fenner, Schaffer and Aronzon, were named Physicians of the year by Vassar Brothers Hospital in 1995. It was the first time a group was honored this way. He is board certified in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. |
Sharon Britos-Neves, M.D.
![]() | Dr. Britos-Neves joined The Children's Medical Group in December 1998. She received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, in 1993 and completed her pediatric specialty training at The Children's Hospital at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester Medical Center in 1996. Dr. Britos-Neves has an interest in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. She is board certified in pediatrics and has been certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. |
Diane Cicatello, M.D.
![]() | Dr Cicatello joined us in 1996. In addition to General Pediatrics, Dr. Cicatello is a specialist in Child Development and was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Child Development and Neurology at the University of South Florida. She received her medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo and her residency in Pediatrics was completed at Cornell Hospital Medical Center in New York City. Her specialty training was at the Rose F. Kennedy Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. There she became committed to children and families with special needs and has a particular interest in early intervention and physical disability. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, board certified in Pediatrics, and in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. |
Nancy A. Crocker, M.D.
![]() | Dr. Crocker joined our group in 1990. She is a graduate of Yale Medical School and completed her Pediatric specialty training at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Crocker has served as a National Health Service Physician in Queens for four years prior to moving to the Hudson Valley. Her interests include Adolescent Medicine and Gynecology, and Sports Medicine. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. |
